Hello

Sun Protection Clothing for Kids - Prevent Sunburns and Skin Damage

Sunscreen and children as sole partners to prevent sunburns are not the best strategy for UV protection. There are several reasons why sunscreen lotions, kids, and water don't get along very well. They are:

1. Sunscreen needs to be applied 15"-30" before sun exposure

We never think that far ahead and usually are applying sunscreen once we get to the beach. Do you think we'd tell the kids to please stay out of the sun until your sunscreen ingredients are absorbed?

2. Sunscreen needs to be applied liberally all over

Our little ones are so anxious to get into the water or run off to play in the sand, that standing still long enough to apply lotion on every body part just doesn't happen.

3. Sunscreen needs to be reapplied through out the day

Did you know for sunscreen lotions to be effective they need to be reapplied every two hours or when getting out of the water or toweling off? If you're at the beach from 9-5 that's a minimum of 4 applications.

Be good to your kids and to their skin by investing in some UV protection tops, hats and swimwear:
